Journey

The mighty Andes with the picturesque villages and snow-capped mountain peaks sweep anyone away in an instant. That is why GPTravel has designed this Andean itinerary “Peru and its mysterious Kingdoms” for an exclusive tour through the Andean highlights.

After a day to rest in Lima, get to know Peru’s capital with its buzzling Plazas and streets adorned with lovely cafés, exquisite restaurants and unique museums. Due to Lima´s foundation by Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro in 1535 the mix of colonial and new buildings create a special flair impressive and inspiring at once.

Your visit at the vibrant city is followed by the tranquility and beauty of the Sacred Valley which had an immense importance to the Incas. Fall in love with its scenic surroundings and Inca legacies in Pisac, Maras, Moray and Ollantaytambo. Then finally make your journey the UNESCO heritage Machu Picchu and spend a day soaking in the breathtaking view of the ancient citadel. After that it takes us to once one of the most important cities in the world: Cusco. This was the Incas’ capital and is now home to Inca walls that merge distinctively with Spanish architecture.

Lastly, you will make your way to Puno, one of the highest cities of Peru at around 3,800 m, for a cruise on a private motor boat Lake Titicaca. Stopping for a visit on the floating islands of Uros and Taquile and getting to know the way of life of its habitants, just the same as their ancestors did a long time ago.
